International Grants

The Auschwitz Foundation awards annually two research grants in honour of all victims of the Nazi concentration camps and extermination centres, the ‘Auschwitz Foundation Research Grant’, since 2012, and the ‘Auschwitz Foundation – Jacques Rozenberg Research Grant’, since 2023 with the support of the Rozenberg-Caillet Foundation.

The ‘Auschwitz Foundation Research Grant’ and the ‘Auschwitz Foundation – Jacques Rozenberg Research Grant’ each amount to €3,000.
They are awarded for original research projects on the historical, social, political, economic, cultural and ideological processes that gave rise to mass crimes, crimes against humanity and genocides.

The Foundation Auschwitz Research Grants have been attributed for the academic year 2025-2026 to the following researchers:

  • The ‘Foundation Auschwitz Research Grant’ (€3,000) to Amélie FAUCHEUX for her project « Umva 1994 » – Le génocide des Tutsi Rwandais par ses témoins (Audio podcast in preparation).

  • The ‘Foundation Auschwitz – Jacques Rozenberg Research Grant’ (€3,000) to Nina DOMBOY for her project Vieille âme (Play).


The Foundation Auschwitz Prizes have been granted for the academic year 2025-2026 to the following researchers:

  • The ‘Foundation Auschwitz Prize’ (€3,000) to Verena MEIER for her work Kriminalpolizei und Völkermord. Die nationalsozialistische Verfolgung von Sinti und Roma in Magdeburg und die Aufarbeitung dessen unter den Alliierten sowie in der DDR, Unpublished doctoral dissertation, Ruprecht-Karls-Universität, Heidelberg.

  • The ‘Foundation Auschwitz – Jacques Rozenberg Prize’ (€2,000) to Kaïna LOUNIS TEILLIER for her work The Role of the Ku Klux Klan in the Transatlantic Circulation of Fascism between the United States and Germany from 1918 to 1968, Unpublished master’s thesis, Sorbonne Université, Paris.

  • Special Mention from the Jury to Claire ASLANGUL-RALLO for her work Promouvoir l’image de l’Allemagne nazie à l’étranger. Histoire et stratégies de communication du magazine Signal (1940-1945), Unpublished habilitation dissertation, Sorbonne Université, Paris, 2025.

The academic session for the presentation of the Foundation Auschwitz Prizes 2025-2026, will take place on Tuesday 24 November 2026 at 6 PM sharp (guest welcome from 5:30 PM) in the Gothic Room of Brussels City Hall.
