Jointly organized by Mémorial de la Shoah and the Auschwitz Foundation on Wednesday April 11, 2012 in Paris, for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the death of Primo Levi.
Primo Levi, archetype of the witness who survived Auschwitz, died twenty-five years ago. He left behind an unfinished body of work which consists of both testimony and literature and is exceptional for its perspicacity. This commemoration offers both a reflection on his work and a homage to someone who for many of us is still a major link in the chain of memory.
Coordinated and supervised by Philippe Mesnard, Professor at the University of Clermont-Ferrand Blaise Pascal, Director of the Auschwitz Foundation and author of the biography Primo Levi: Le passage d’un témoin (Fayard, 2012).
